Noia cockles are much more than just shellfish: they are a symbol of tradition, quality, and sustainability. Sourced from the Noia Estuary, where unique geological and climatic conditions converge, these cockles grow slowly in a privileged environment.
They are harvested only a few months a year, using traditional shellfish harvesting—on foot or from small boats—with a deep respect for the rhythms of the sea. This work, carried out mostly by women shellfish gatherers, keeps alive the legacy of a community linked to the sea for generations.
This preserve contains 30 to 40 hand-selected, refined pieces, ready to enjoy. Their firm texture and clean, iodized flavor make them a delicious snack, ideal served plain, with a squeeze of lemon, or over ice, as a sophisticated aperitif.
