Juanjo Tellaetxe, a winemaker with Basque roots and a passion for the authentic, decided in 2017 to rescue the old traditions of the Arrastaria Valley, where his family had been growing indigenous grapes for over 80 years. His mission is clear: to make wines with soul, honest and with the unique character of their land.
Tantaka Tinto is his calling card in red. Made 100% with Hondarrabi Beltza, the quintessential Basque red grape, this wine breaks the mold. There are no oak barrels here, but rather aging on lees in stainless steel tanks for five months. The result? A fresh, light red wine with a personality that stands out to both the eye and the palate.
