Doña Burra Red Wine

Doña Burra is one of those wines born to surprise. A boutique wine crafted by the Montemundo winery in the heart of the Sierra del Segura, where altitude, mountain climate, and calcareous soils give rise to wines with a very distinct personality.
The vineyard is located at 1,132 meters above sea level, bush-trained and cultivated with respectful pruning practices. This mountain environment, with deep, stony soils, allows for grapes with excellent natural acidity, great freshness, and a very characteristic aromatic intensity.
The winemaking process also reflects the wine's free spirit. Fermentation is carried out with whole bunches, providing structure and aromatic complexity. After about ten days of maceration at a controlled temperature, the wine undergoes eight months of aging in 500-liter French oak barrels and glass demijohns, where it rounds out without losing its vibrant character.
Furthermore, this vintage is especially exclusive: only 750 bottles have been produced, making Doña Burra a unique wine for those who enjoy discovering small, character-driven projects.

Nose: Very expressive fruity and floral aromas, accompanied by vanilla notes and hints of spices and bay leaf from its aging.
Palate: Fresh, complex, and very lively. Its natural acidity from the high-altitude vineyard stands out, with good structure, a balanced mouthfeel, and an elegant, persistent finish.
